Charla en la FIUM: «Empirical Methods in Software Engineering»

El viernes 10 de mayo de 2024 a las 12:00 en la sala de grados tendrá lugar la conferencia de la profesora Simona Motogna de la Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, titulada «Empirical Methods in Software Engineering».

Resumen: Empirical methods have been promoted as a research approach to different software engineering problems. We will investigate some contributions towards using such methods both in software quality and Software Engineering education. We will try to explain how they should be used, according to latest standards and why they are suitable in some cases. 

Bio: Simona Motogna is Professor at Department of Computer Science, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. With over 25 years of experience in academic education and research, Simona is the director of the Software Engineering Research Group. Her main research interests include: software quality and empirical methods in Software Engineering.

She also participated in several European projects regarding Entrepreneurship and Gender balance in Informatics. Simona is currently the chair of the Informatics Europe working group in diversity and inclusion.
