Virtual online master's degree taught in English, worth 90 ECTS (3 semesters). Synchronous online classes in the afternoons from Monday to Friday.
The first two semesters are focused on the acquisition of competences related to the fundamental subjects regarding cybersecurity. The third semester includes principally the Master's Degree Final Project (24 ECTS).
Objectives of the master’s degree:
- To provide a broad view of the methods and techniques related to cyber-attacks and cyber-defence.
- To enable students to design, deploy and maintain cybersecurity systems.
- To become familiar with the regulations and legislation applicable in the field of cybersecurity.
- To know the concepts and technologies used in the implementation of cybersecurity in an organisation, considering the definition of strategies, policies and standards for corporate security.
- The ability to supervise the management of cybersecurity, coordinating the actions of various units or entities that provide security services.
- To acquire the knowledge and skills required in order to supervise the physical security and protection measures of ICT infrastructures.
- The ability to identify possible security risks, calculate their value and agree on mitigation actions.
- To learn to analyse the impact caused by a given cyber incident and design possible incident response plans.
- The ability to interpret forensic reports, reflect on lessons learned, define action plans and follow up on their implementation.
- To be aware of, know and adequately interpret the legal and compliance regulations that are enacted or modified as regards cybersecurity, and also to provide advice regarding their application to the organisation.
Mixed master's degree. Aimed at both starting a career in research with the development of a doctoral thesis and acquiring professional skills with which to improve one’s performance in this profession.
