The Library has two types of service to attend to requests for information, both general information about the service itself and its resources, as well as bibliographic information, search and location of information. Access to certain information resources, such as electronic journals and databases, is restricted and can only be accessed by UMU research staff. If you wish, you can authenticate yourself on the research proxy server to check if you are among the user groups with access to it.

WhatsApp usage recommendations

  • The library will respect the confidentiality of the consultations and advises you not to provide any personal information (ID card, user codes, passwords, etc.) during the conversation.
  • No renewal or reservation requests will be processed, now will any data be updated. No legal queries will be dealt with.
  • There is no time lit for enquiries. However, if the library staff thinks that the enquiry is too long or complex, you will be referred for a personal interview or a replay will be sent to you by email.
  • Try to keep your messages clear and concise. Avoid writing in capital letters.
  • Language shall always be respectful.
  • The staff responsible for consultations has the right to cut off any conversation deemed inappropriate.
  • The conservations held do not require prior identification and are private, although they may be kept for statistical and service improvement purposes.
  • In accordance with the provisions of the Spanish Organic Law 3/28, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, any data you provide will only be used for the management of this service.
