Innovatión Lab

The University of Murcia has a space where students and teachers can practice innovative teaching experiences and thus improve the Teaching Innovation initiatives before their implementation in a subject.

The laboratory also aims to be a place of collaboration and cooperation between teachers to maximise the impact of teaching practices on student learning, creating a motivating space conducive to encounter, diversity and creativity.

The laboratory is divided into two spaces:

The first with a dimension of 40 metres has stackable tables and chairs for individual and group work, laptops and digital tablets, a screen with an integrated computer to wirelessly broadcast content and two graphic design tablets for real-time annotation. The laboratory also has bibliographic material on teaching methodologies and numerous board games for gamification activities in different specialist areas. Virtual reality devices have also been incorporated to simulate activities of all kinds.

The second 10 square metre space consists of a computer with a microphone and mixing desk connected to two continuous recording cameras for live monitoring of the previous space. This space is essential for experimentation and collecting real-time data that can be analysed later.
