The University of Murcia (UMU) has received the “Outstanding International Student Satisfaction” award of the website “StudyPortals”, a leading web page when searching and selecting Higher Education Programs.

The UMU, having obtained a +9.5 mark in a survey in which more than 16,000 students took part, is the only Spanish university to have received this award together with other 14 European universities.

The International Student Satisfaction Awards 2016 are based on 16,000 opinions written by international students during the 2015-2016 academic year on “STeXX”, the platform on which students accessing “StudyPortals” exchange their experiences.

In the survey, the students had to rate different aspects of their academic and social life during their international experiences, as well as the academic level, research and teaching quality of the university, and other aspects such as culture, safety, living cost or accommodation in the city.

This year, 153 European universities qualified for this award. Spain has the highest number of winning universities (27), followed by Germany with 15 winning universities in 2016.
