Murcia is placed in the South East of Spain and you can get it easily by car, rail or air. The weather in Murcia is Mediterranean with sort and warm winters and hot
summers.

Within its almost 12.000 square kilometres, the region of Murcia offers 250 kilometres of coastline divided between the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea of which a large part is virgin and solitary ; orchards, rivers, mountains, grapevines, olive groves and arid high plateaus; miraculous thermal waters; a  complete offering of sports and a rich artistic and historical heritage.

In addition to these features are the particular and delicous Murcian gastronomy combining fish, rice and seafood of the littoral, the fruit and vegetables, the meat and stews of the interior, and festivals full of colour, light, music and tradition.

The building of the Faculty of Veterinary Science (University of Murcia) was inaugurated in 1990 and has modern equipment to develop the research as well as the teaching work in the different Departments.
