Module 1: Introduction to ERC programme, assessment process and useful tools

Module 2: Research Proposal-I (B2)

Topics to be discussed:

Objectives, state-of-the-art, methodology, resources and approaches highlighting novelty, originality, creativity and usefulness of the project. The format of the proposal and the length of the different sections will be analysed.

Module 3: Research Proposal- II (B2)

Topics to be discussed:

1) New and groundbreaking aspects of the project.
2) The high-risk high-gain balance and how to prove the viability of the project.
3) The impact of the project on the field and possible applications.
4) Description of the methodology
5) Project planning and contingency plans.
6) How to fit the project in with the assessment criteria

Module 4: Extended synopsis (B1)

This section is an executive summary of the scientific proposal (B2), with special stress on the innovative nature of the project and on its viability, as well as on the impact that this research project is going to generate in future research work in this field.

Module 5: Principal investigator (CV)

The key elements of the researcher’s CV will be analysed, including the Funding ID, EATR (Early Achievement Track Record) and the rationale for each scientific achievement.
