null Summer School 2017 in Klaipeda (Lithuania)

Klaipeda University is glad to invite your students to participate in the Summer School 2017 in Klaipeda (Lithuania). The Summer School will take place on August 16−31, 2017. Klaipeda University is the leader of multidisciplinary national and Baltic Sea Region research and studies, promoter of cultural heritage, and lifelong learning centre integrated in international academic networks. This summer school programme aims to help students and graduates improve their knowledge in the fields of political science, economics, social geography, management, media and their cultural knowledge of the country, to give students an experience of life in a foreign country that can be invaluable later in life. The programme includes short Lithuanian language crash course.

We expect that short and intensive programme of the Summer School in the field of Social Sciences will offer interesting courses and cultural workshops/field trips (for more information please see the attached presentation or visit the Summer School‘s website). It would be a great way to get international experience for the students in a short time.

We are also looking forward to co-operation from the academic staff. The programme of the Summer School might be complemented with lectures and seminars of teachers from Partner Universities as well.

ECTS Credits info

University students, who wish their home university to recognise and award credits for their summer programme, should first check with their home institution if they can assess and award credit as appropriate. Klaipeda University recommends the course is equivalent to 6 ECTS credits. Students will be able to demonstrate their successful course attendance and completion by presenting their Completion Certificate.

Fee info

EUR 450: Regular fee. The Course fee includes tuition, all Course materials and cultural programme. Cultural programme will include some lectures, tours around Klaipeda and some sites out of town. Participants are expected to cover the costs of travel, living and accommodation themselves.

EUR 30: Registration fee

Scholarships

Klaipeda University offers a scholarship to students from partner institutions (additional bilateral agreement) in the form of fee reduction. The Course Fee for students from partner institutions is 250 EUR.
