Solving elliptic, parabolic and eigenvalue one-dimensional problems

Can be done by solving the formulation on a 2D domain while the solution would just be a constant continuation of the function with respect to \(y\).

To solve the basic Laplace problem with homogeneous boundary conditions on \( (0,1)\) use 2D tools to construct the 1D problem.
