Estimados universitarios,
 
Les informamos que hay 3 plazas disponibles para el Proyecto de Formación Europeo "Human Rights Education through Innovative Peer Action" del Programa de Educación no formal "Juventud en Acción":  

Resumen del Proyecto:

  • Nombre del Proyecto: Human Rights Education through Innovative Peer Action.
  • Fechas: 20 al 26 de enero de 2010.
  • Sitio: Tirana, Albania.
  • Organiza: "Children Today" Center

Costes: El participante debe pagar el 30% de los gastos totales del desplazamiento desde Murcia a Tirana, Albania. Alojamiento, manutención  y el 70% del total del transporte desde Murcia al destino serán cubiertos por la organización.

Hay 3 plazas libres para jóvenes entre 18 y 30 años, con interés en la temática del encuentro: Derechos Humanos y Educación.

Requisitos participación:

  • Tener la edad señalada.
  • Ser estudiante de la Universidad de Murcia.
  • Nivel alto de inglés hablado (todo el proyecto se realiza en inglés).
  • Conocimientos en la temática a tratar durante el proyecto.

Project Title: HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION THROUGH  INNOVATIVE PEER ACTIONS

Training Course

Venue: Chateau Linza, Tirana, Albania January 2010

Summary of the project:

Children Today Center in Albania is going to carry out Intercultural training course in Human Rights Education with young people, in order to fulfil the need for education projects concerning human rights. 18-30 years old youngsters from respective partner countries will have the possibility to meet colleagues from other countries, participate in intercultural dialogue, receive qualification, share experiences and challenges of developing peer education on human rights issues in formal and non-formal education settings ;

The project will empower participants to develop strategies and activities to address racism, xenophobia, discrimination and gender-based forms of violence. The participants will be familiarized different manuals on human rights education and discussed how best to use it and adapt it to their local contexts and realities; This training course will enable youngsters with skills and knowledge how to run and lead human right issues in the framework of Youth in Action, as well it will prepare skilled young peers on this issue.

The project is also directed to establish a bridge between countries of South East Europe and the European network of trainers, multipliers and youth organizations active in promoting human rights Education, the network of   Human Rights defenders to enhance cooperation among human rights NGOs.  Intercultural training course on peer education on human rights called HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION THROUGH INNOVATIVE PEER ACTIONS will facilitate intercultural dialogue and understanding.

 

Objectives:

This training aims to train youth leaders, youth workers in developing youth participation and active citizenship

- To develop the young peers' knowledge and competence in key concepts of human rights education with young people;

- Increase of knowledge on Human Rights content and methodology

- To familiarize the participants with the approaches of the manual on human rights education and on how best to use it and adapt it to local contexts and realities;

- Intercultural Competence

- Exchange of Experience in Human rights change in Attitudes, Behavior and Knowledge

- Human Rights Awareness from an international perspective

- To allow the development of youth organizations from disadvantaged countries or regions and to frame them in partnerships and projects within the "YOUTH IN ACTION" Programme;

 

Which partnership are we expecting?

In the training course will participate young people from 6 different European countries. (4SEE&4EU).  From one country we expect 3 participants who can be part of different organizations active in promotion of human rights education. The background of participants will be different (from different communities, areas, countries, cultures, and ways of life, religious and political points of view who agree with human rights values) and in this way they will contribute with new ideas and lot of creativity in the project.

We expect from each partner to be informed and involved and to express its point of view during the whole project preparation, realization and evaluation.

The common language of the training course is English language. Each participant is not requested to speak and understand English perfectly, but a minimum is required.

A gender balanced group will be preferable.
