On September 7th-8th, 2018 took place the 34th Scientific Meeting of the Association of Embryo Technology in Europe (AETE), in Nantes (France).

The AETE meeting is always marked in the REPBIOTECH conferences agenda. This year, 5 REPBIOTECH Early Stage Researchers (ESR) participated presenting some of their research results as short oral communications:

ESR2 Benjamín Planells | Role of RNA isoform expression in sex determination in mice.
ESR6 Beatriz Rodríguez-Alonso | Local embryo effect on the transcriptomic response of the oviductal epithelial cells results from in vivo and in vitro approaches.
ESR12 Tsige Hailay | Detection of cell-free DNA in embryo culture medium: its potential application as a noninvasive method for sex determination in cattle.
ESR14 Marina Ramal Sánchez | Progesterone induces sperm release from bovine oviductal epithelial cells by modification of the sperm protein and lipid compositions.
ESR15 Jordana S. Lopes | Reproductive fluids added to embryo culture vs. standard culture in cow: first results on pregnancy rates.

The oral communication of Beatriz ended up becoming the Winner of the Student Competition contest. The prize made Beatriz feel " happy and so grateful", but she is not the only one happy, the whole REPBIOTECH team is so proud too!

At the end of the meeting, participants had some time to enjoy spare activities at Nantes.

Finally, the 35th Scientific Meeting of the AETE 2019 was announced and it will be held in Murcia, so REPBIOTECH beneficiary University of Murcia will play an important role.

Note: The content of the oral communications was also presented as posters. All of them will be soon showcased on the Results section of our main website. Stay tuned!
