Session 1 (June 18) sets the stage by challenging human-centric views. Participants learn to appreciate the intricate world of plants, understanding their life from a non-human perspective. In Session 2 (June 25) we delve into the latest research and discoveries that illuminate the complex behaviors and communication methods of plants. To do so, Prof. Calvo shares insights from timelapse photography and empirical studies, revealing how plants interact with their environment and each other in sophisticated ways.

Session 3 (July 2) explores the philosophical and ethical implications of plant sentience. Participants are encouraged to consider the moral considerations of plant intelligence, discussing how this new understanding impacts our ethical obligations to the natural world.
