The conference coincides with a great musical event in Murcia (SOS 4.8), which means that the city will be busy these days and hotel prices may be expensive (especially on 3rd and 4th May). Two airports connect Murcia directly with most destinations in Europe: Murcia Airport (San Javier) and Alicante Airport (El Altet). San Javier Airport is located on the northern shore of Mar Menor, at a distance of 47 km from the city of Murcia. Alicante (El Altet) Airport is 68 km from Murcia (45 minutes away by motorway). Coming by train from any part of Spain involves going through Madrid, with a daily train service, or if travelling from any part of Europe, via Barcelona. All trains arrive and depart from El Carmen railway station, located in the city of Murcia.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS SCHEDULE
Transfer between the two airports (Alicante-El Altet and Murcia-San Javier) and Murcia city centre can also be arranged with the travel agency by using the Accommodation and social activities form.

HALF-DAY TRIP TO CARTAGENA
An excursion to the historical city of Cartagena is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, 4th May (http://www.cartagenaturismo.es/). The price, approximately €25 per person (based on 30 people), includes bus, tourist guide, tickets to the monuments, tourist boat and VAT. To be paid on arrival, but preregistration is required. There are several possibilities to extend your stay in the south-east of Spain. One option could be a tour to Granada (280 km by motorway, 3-hour bus journey) http://www.turgranada.es/.
