56. HAENDEL, Georg Friedrich (1685-1759): Cantata Hendel, non può mia musa, HWV 117, para soprano y bajo continuo. Roberta Invernizzi, soprano, Retablo Barocco. [Stradivarius, STR 3324]
Recitativo
Hendel, non può mia musa
cantore in un istante
versi che degni sian della tua lira
ma sento che in me spira
si soave armonia che ai tuoi concenti
son costretto a cantare in questi accenti.
Aria
Potè Orfeo co'l dolce suono
arrestar d'augelli il volo
e fermar di belva il pie
Si muovero a un sì bel tuono
tronchi e sassi ancor dal suolo
ma giammai cantar li fè.
Recitativo.
Dunque maggior d'Orfeo
Aria
Ognun canti e all'armonia
di novello Orfeo si dia
alla destra il moto al canto
voce tal che mai s'udì
E in sì grata melodia
tutta gioia l'alma sia.
lngannando il tempo in tanto
passin liete l'ore e il dì.
La cantata eclesiástica alemana.
BACH, Johann Sebastian (1685-1750):
Formas vocales religiosas.
Comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplish'd, that her iniquity is pardon'd. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our Lord. |
Consolad a mi pueblo, dice vuestro Dios. |
64. Aria (tenor): “Ev’ry valley shall be exalted”
Ev'ry valley shall be exalted, and ev'ry mountain and hill made low, the crooked straight, and the rough places plain. |
65. Coro: “And the Glory of the Lord”
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the rnouth of the Lord hath spoken it. |
66. Accompagnato (bajo): “Thus saith the Lord”

70. Aria (soprano) “Rejoice greatly”
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee: he is the righteous Saviour and he shall speak peace unto the heathen. |
71. Aria (soprano) “How beautiful”
How beautiful are the feet of thern that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! |
72. Aria y recitativo de bajo "Why do the nations so furiously rage toghether?"
Why do the nations so furiously rage together and why do the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth rise up, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord an his Anointed. |
73. Coro "Hallelujah"
Hallelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. The kingdom of this world is become, the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. King of kings and Lord of lords. |
74. Accompagnato (bajo): “Behold I tell you a mistery”
Behold, I tell you a mistery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be chang'd, in a moment in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. |
