SIMULATING MULTIFOCALITY WITH TEMPORAL MULTIPLEXING

We have develloped a methology for generating simultaneous vision with a deformable mirror that changed shape at 50 Hz between two vergences. This methodology can be used to investigate subjective visual performance for different multifocal contact or intraocular lens designs.

CRISTALLINE LENS HAS A REALLY EFFICIENT OPTICAL DESIGN

The inner gradient of curvature is shown to determine the effect of the GRIN structure in enhancing crystalline lens power and accommodation. This could explain the lens paradox or the intracapsular mechanism of accommodation.

NEW METHOD TO DIFFERENTIATE LARGE FROM SAMLL PARTICLES IN INTRAOCULAR LENSES

A new methodology has been designed to measure straylight from intraocular lenses (IOLs) in vitro, which allow us to study the straylight-wavelength dependency for IOLs. Several IOLs were analyzed showing that large particles were found to predominate in scattering (Mie difussion).
