Title: "An Overview of Computer Aided Translation Tools for Translators" Date: Thursday, January 20, 2011 Time: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM GMT
Cost: £15.00
A dispassionate, but not totally impersonal, overview of some of the most common CAT tools available on the market today.
The presentation will include an introduction to CAT tools, what they are and what they are not, together with live demonstrations of a few of the tools on the market, their main features, strengths, weaknesses, cost, and inter-changeability of memories between systems. There will be plenty of time for Questions and Answers as well as a general discussion of the use of CAT tools. We aim to touch on the matter of cost reductions for repetitions, and will also discuss the type of work for which CAT tools are most suited.
