About us

The SUSTAINABLE CHEMISTRY RESEARCH NODE - CMN, part of the research networks of the International Excellence Campus Mare Nostrum (CMN) at the University of Murcia (UM) and the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT), collaborates with international entities to transform the Region of Murcia into a hub for global education, science, business, and culture in the Mediterranean.

Prof. Pedro Lozano leads the Sustainable Chemistry Research Node (E-060-10) with members from UM and UPCT research groups. The node focuses on three key goals
           • Exploring environmentally friendly non-aqueous solvents for easy recovery/recycling.
           • Developing robust, selective, and efficient (bio)catalysts for chemical transformations, ensuring easy recovery/recycling.
           • Designing and implementing advanced continuous reaction systems for integrated processes, encompassing chemical multicatalytic transformations and the separation of pure products.
