Call for papers
The Organising Committee of the 16th SEDERI International Conference and the Spanish and Portuguese Association for English Renaissance Studies welcomes proposals for 20-minute papers on topics related to the culture, language, linguistics and literatures of the English Renaissance. English is the official language of the conference.
The following Plenary Speakers have already confirmed their attendance:
Prof. Gary Taylor (University of Alabama)
Prof. Jonathan Sawday (University of Strathclyde)
Dr. Laurie Maguire (University of Oxford)
Dr. John Jowett (Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham)
Short papers will be presented by Dr. Gordon McMullan, Prof. Ruth Evans and Dr. Jonathan Hope.
A
200-hundred word abstract including complete affiliation of author(s) (title,
full name and surname(s) of author(s), department, university) and paper title,
as well as telephone, fax and (ordinary) mail and e-mail addresses, should be
submitted before 15 March 2005. Submissions that reach the organisers before this
date will be greatly appreciated. Abstracts will be evaluated by the Conference
Academic Committee and authors will be informed of their acceptance/refusal
before 1 April 2005.
Electronic
versions of the abstract (preferably MS Word or RTF format) should be sent by
e-mail to ccalvo@um.es
referably using the attached form. Abstracts can also be posted to the address
below. Please also indicate if you need an overhead projector, computer and
video, DVD, Power-Point or any other facilities for your presentation.
