I
received my BA (1988) and PhD (1993) degrees in English Language and
Literature from the University of Murcia (Spain),
my MA in Computational Linguistics (1995) from Essex
University (UK) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Multivariate Statistics
(2000) from the UNED (Spain). I have been
a lecturer in the Department of
English Language and Literature at Murcia since 1990. Prior to this I
had spent two years teaching English in a secondary school and the Escuela
Oficial de Idiomas of Murcia.
My
main research interests are in Corpus Linguistics, Quantitative
Linguistics, Computational Lexicography and Computer Assisted Language
Learning.
I
am a member of the LACELL (Lingüística
Aplicada a la Computación, Enseñanza de Lenguas y Lexicografía)
Research Group at the University of Murcia.
