IX International Conference of the Spanish Economic History Association
Murcia, 9-12 September 2008
The Spanish towns of Murcia and Cartagena will host the IX International Conference
of the Spanish Economic History Association (AEHE), an event which has become
an important meeting for Spanish historians and lovers of history. The event
is being organized by the University of Murcia and will take place from September
9th to the 12th 2008. Although foreign researchers have always been present
at previous congresses, 2008 promises to see a notable increase in foreign
participation. For the first time, many colleagues present will come from
other European and American countries, and there will be special sessions
focusing on different geographical areas and on universal questions, some
of which will be held in English. However, the majority of the foreign contributors
at the AEHE Congress will be from Mediterranean and South American countries.
The Local Organization Committee and the Scientific Committee hope the IX
International Conference will be as successful as the ones before, attracting
many participants and generating exciting discussions.
