Research Group Equity and Inclusion in Education

    I was born in a little village from Ourense in 1960. I studied Pedagogía (pedagogy) at the University of Santiago de Compostela, and I obtained my degree in 1992. I began my PhD studies in the University of Santiago and I finished them at the University of Murcia, where I moved to when I was given a research grant of the Ministry of Education.  Nowadays I work as a Professor at the department of Didáctica y Organización Escolar in the University of Murcia.

    There are three basic fields where I have developed my activity as a professor and as a researcher: school reforms and educational change and innovation process; the school as a organization: school culture, schools relationships,   process and dynamics of the organizational operation; students at risk of educational exclusion:  the measures and programs to answer to the diversity of students; absenteeism and school dropout, student engagement and attachment.
