The Research Group in Educational Technology (GITE) is a group of research based on the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the Faculty of Education of the University of Murcia, officially created on 1997.
We are a group of researchers (most of us lecturers in the university) that love to explore the impact of technologies in learning, in formal and informal contexts, always from the pedagogical point of view. Nevertheless, apart from our normal cooperation with other colleagues from education, we collaborate as well with several technological researchers and developers, in order to enrich and complement our vision. The GITE’s research interests include, but is not limited to, the following major topics:
- Personal Learning Environments PLE
- ICT enhanced activities for education (different levels)
- ICT for VET
- ICT in Hospital Schools
- Social Networks and Web 2.0 for learning
- Semantic technologies and its relations with education
- Augmented Scenarios for learning
