With the
name Green
Office we call a project which
is been carried out in others Spanish Universities. It aims to the
awareness
of the environmental problems having to do with our University, by
means of
several tools, such as information campaigns, the publication of the
journal EUBACTERIA
where
articles about
environmental sciences and news are accepted, the organization of short
courses,
speeches, conferences, debates, trips and different events aiming to
promote
a better knowledge of our natural values and the understanding of the
main
issues concerning environment which should be undertaken by our
society, including
many other activities.
The University has a great importance
in our
society so as to serve as an example of respect for nature by means of
the
apropriate use of natural resources and conservation of areas of
interest
because of their ecological values. This is the way we think our
University
is supposed to show the community how to handle these increasing
problems
nowadays. Sustainable development must be practiced first in the
University.
Education for a future profesional career is not the only way the
University
has to civilise our society, but it also should show human values that
allow
anyone to become a better person.
From
the
UM's Green Office we are willing to make a big effort to serve as an
environmental
tool for the University
of Murcia.
Participation of students, teachers and any member
of our University in this new challenge will be encouraged.

solicitud de ecoparque, energias renovables, movilidad en bicicleta al
Campus son algunas de las demandas que se realizan desde la Oficina
