Welcome to the website of the Department of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business!

We are a team of almost forty people, specializing in quantitative methods specific to the analysis of economic and business realities. This specialist activity covers mathematics, statistics and econometrics.

We teach and research, and our aim and challenge is to use dynamic and up-to-date teaching methods and to contribute with our research to a better understanding of the economic world. Thus, apart from publishing in specialist scientific journals, several members of the department also collaborate with public and private institutions, so placing their knowledge and research capacity directly at the service of the society.
