TEACHING

One of the reasons, but the main one, of the existence of the UCIV is the necessity to deliver practical teaching of quality to the students of the UMU, so that their preparation as future professionals of the vision allows them primary visual attention in the optics offices as well as in ophthalmology and/or optometry clinics where they will develop their work.

But practical teaching is not only available to students of the first cycle, but the Clinic is also open to students of the second cycle of Medicine, who attend the subject of Ophthalmology, to students of the third cycle, attending doctorate or masters related to vision, and, finally, to residents (MIR) of Ophthalmology. It will allow them to become experts in such an important discipline as that of Low Vision and Visual Rehabilitation that, nowadays, lacks the University Services of Ophthalmology of the Comunidad Autónoma of Murcia.
