The project that we propose is supported and based on the previous work of the Research Group of Educational Technology of the University of Murcia (Spain), with broad experience in researchs on ITC and Higher Education.

Specifically some of the outcomes of this project start from the Questionnaire of ICT Teaching Competences, written in the framework of the project “Study of the Competences and ICT Learning Demands of teachers from Bolivian and Dominican Universities”, (A/018302/08) which can be looked up in:

Prendes, P. & Castañeda, L. (2009): Higher Education, Teachers and ICT (Enseñanza Superior, Profesores y TIC). Sevilla: MAD-EDUFORMA.

Prendes, P. & Castañeda, L. (2010): “Latin American Universities faced with the challenge of ICT: Computer Literacy demands for teaching”. Congress “Media (mediática) Literacy and digital cultures”. Sevilla http://congresoculturadigital.wordpress.com/.

In addition to aforementioned, for the development of this project it has been used an exhaustive search of indicators of ICT competences in Universities and Quality Agencies at a national and international level.
